About the Aperol Spritz
The Aperol Spritz, one of 2024’s most popular cocktails, has its origins in Italy, particularly in the Veneto region. The Barbieri brothers in Padua created Aperol in 1919, but it didn’t gain widespread popularity until the 1950s. By the 2000s, the Aperol Spritz began to gain international fame, becoming a symbol of leisurely outdoor gatherings and summer festivities. Today, it’s celebrated worldwide as embodying the Italian lifestyle of enjoying good food, company, and relaxation.
Aperol Spritz, A Cocktail for Leo
Description
Spirited and passionate Leo deserves an exciting Aperol Spritz.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Aperol
- 3 oz prosecco
- 1 oz soda water
- .25 lemon juice
- 1 dash orange bitters
- Orange Wheel
- 1 by 1 ice cubes
Instructions
- Build all ingredients in a wine glass, top with ice and lightly agitate with a bar spoon to combine.
- Garnish with an orange wheel.
