Fun, flirty, and aesthetically pleasing Libra (September 23-October 22) couldn’t be represented by any drink besides the lovable Cosmopolitan, immortalized in HBO’s Sex and the City. The cocktail embraced by fictitious NYC socialite Carrie Bradshaw (canonically a Libra!) is the obvious choice for the sign ruled by Venus, the authority on all things relating to love and beauty. Balance in a Cosmopolitan is crucial, too little or too much of any component can make or break the drink. We’ve taken the guesswork out with this tried-and-true recipe that’ll have Libra happy to have direct instructions.
Cosmopolitan Recipe
Cosmopolitan Ingredients
- 2 oz Ketel One vodka
- .75 oz orange liqueur
- .75 oz lime juice
- .50 oz cranberry juice
- .25 oz simple syrup
- Lemon twist
- Ice for shaking
Cocktail Instructions
- Build all ingredients in a cocktail tin, add ice and shake.
- Double strain through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled coupe.
- Garnish with an expressed lemon twist.
- Enjoy your Cosmopolitan!
