What is Puff Pastry?

Puff pastry is a flaky, buttery dough known for its delicate layers. It’s created through a complex process of folding and rolling dough and butter together multiple times, resulting in hundreds of thin layers. As the pastry bakes, the heat causes the butter to melt and steam, separating the layers and creating the characteristic puff and flaky texture. Sure, you can make it at home…but store-bought puff pastry makes many recipes fast and easy.
